The greatest need of America is spiritual awakening. One result of the Coronavirus pandemic is that it has shown us our need for spiritual awakening.

Most believers have the heartbreaking experience of dealing with a prodigal. It may be in your family or in your church. It could be a friend. What is a prodigal?

What a statement! Jesus is the Christ. He is the Messiah promised by God and prophesied by the Old Testament. He is the Son of God, the promised Savior of sinners.

Are your spiritual leaders prayed for or preyed on? It is going to be one or the other. The great need of the church is to cover its spiritual leaders in prayer. The health and impact of the church depends on it.

Revival is the sovereign work of God by His Spirit and Word in which He renews the faith and life of believers. God alone can revive; it is His work. Just as we cannot regenerate ourselves, we cannot revive ourselves. He is our only hope of revival.

You live in a fallen world. It’s inevitable that you’re going to be hurt. Your heart is going to be wounded; it’s going to be broken. It’s not a matter of if; it’s a matter of when and how much.

This may sound like an unusual title for a newsletter on prayer. I’ll grant you that it is. But, I struggled with what title to give this newsletter and the material in it.

Jesus loved to go to the Garden of Gethsemane. Gethsemane is an urban garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives. Jesus often spent time there with His disciples, “And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the Mount of Olives; and his disciples also
followed him” (Luke 22:39).

As we come to the close of this year, many people will make resolutions for the New Year. This is a great time to consider and make fresh commitments for the New Year.
